Kylie Jenner Is Expanding Her Makeup Line With the KyShadow Kit

Fashion

How long is it going to take Kylie Jenner’s brand new product to sell out? Maybe 30 seconds like her iconic lip kit? It-girl Kylie Jenner is officially expanding her notorious makeup linedebuting a new eyeshadow palette, dubbed the KyShadow Kit.

Kylie Jenner Launches KyShadow Kit Eyeshadow Palette

“Surprise, I’m launching a KyShadow palette!!! I’ve been working on this for months and I am so excited to finally reveal the big news to you guys,” Kylie wrote on her website, introducing the palette, composed of nine different colors, accompanied by a how-to and descriptive video. The website features a second video too, wherein one of Kylie’s favorite makeup artists, Ariel Tejada explains how to use each one of the nine shades to recreate Kylie’s iconic look.

“I have been dreaming of this moment for way too long. This eyeshadow palette is literally my baby. I have been using this palette every day for the past five or six months. Every Snapchat video, every Instagram you’ve seen me in, it’s been this palette. It’s been so hard to keep this a secret,” she explains in the video.

Like Jenner’s debut Lip Kit, the KyShadow Kit’s shades come in neutral tones, primarily with a matte finish, with the exception of the dusty orange shade slightly veering to a brighter color spectrum.

“The color orange was very important for me to put in my palette,” she explained. “I feel like orange really makes the colors pop”.

Jenner’s nude-toned makeup style is one of the most Googled, Instagrammed and most recently also Snapchatted (she snapchatted her makeup routine and broke the Internet a few days ago), which means that if you are willing to get your hands on the KyShadow Kit, you have to be really fast.

Kylie Jenner Launches KyShadow Kit Eyeshadow Palette

After days of teasing her fans on Instagram with a coming-soon Kylie Cosmetics #summersurprise, as well as many unanswered questions when the same fans kept on asking what kind of eyelid palette she was using in her Snapchat makeup tutorial, Kylie Jenner spiced things up revealing that there are only a few hours left to prepare for ‘the battle’. The KyShadow Kit is about to hit the online shelves July 26 at 3 PM (PST).

The second and much-unexpected surprise she unveiled on Snapchat yesterday was that she tracked down the most devoted Kylie Jenner Lip Kit fans to personally gift them with the unreleased KyShadow Kit. What a fantastic marketing move!

As for the KyShadow Kit’s formula, Kylie made sure we could all be satisfied with the product, especially after the criticism she got on her Lip Kit.

“All of the make-up artists who work with me know that I am very specific about the color brown that goes on my eyes, and I really feel like I’ve perfected it in this palette,” Kylie declared in the video. “This formula is very long-wearing and they blend so effortlessly.”

Get ready to compulsively check Kylie Cosmetics’ website, today! Also remember that more KyShadow Kits are about to come, by the end of the year!

Salvatore Ferragamo Fall/Winter 2016 Ad Campaign: An Exploration of The Splendour of Life

Fashion

This fall/winter season, third generation Italian fashion house Salvatore Ferragamo brought us to our knees with yet another outstanding collection. Now, they’ve gone ahead and given it further context, with a series of imagery and a short film. Acting as an incredibly enchanting insight into lo splendore della vita, or ‘the splendour of life’, each piece elaborates on the inspiration for their most recent collection. The two-part Salvatore Ferragamo fall 2016 campaign was a collaborative effort between a number of creative souls, and brings to life with amazing clarity the inspiration behind Massimiliano Giornetti’smost recent collection.

French stylist Marie Chaix worked her magic on the color and print heavy range, expertly matching the intensity of the linear prints and bold hues with the subtle yet complimentary textures and lines. Her selection and combination of prints throughout every facets of each outfit provoked a sense of effortlessness in each arrangement that allows for total appreciation of each piece, on its own and in conjunction with others.

The stars of the show were undoubtedly Ferragamo’s leather goods – shoes, bags and clutches gave context to each scene; classic pieces with novel yet strangely tasteful twists. Colorful variations of the ‘Aileen’ bag dominated the initial stages of the film (the patchwork leather style is particularly phenomenal), followed by the ‘Sofia’ in cheery two-tone combinations that set the heart racing.

Classic suede heels and the signature Vara pump grounded otherwise intense ensembles, while other pieces brought their own special touch to the outfit. Stand-outs include a particularly stunning pair of black booties that incorporated vibrant pink hues in another warped linear print and one outstanding pair of basic black full length boots. Whether on purpose or by accident, through this campaign, the house has demonstrated the immense usefulness and versatility of the statement piece once again.

Shot on location in a bright and sunny Italian villa, the Salvatore Ferragamo fall 2016 campaign features models Ming Xi, Valery Kaufman, Ine Neefs and James Rousseau (who also provided the soundtrack for the film), who did their garments inimitable justice as they depict a whimsical game of hide and seek. Gallivanting through the sparse rooms and perfectly manicured gardens of the villa, adorned in impossibly perfect garb, the game becomes silly in its playfulness and one can’t help but be brought in and included in the innocent joie de vivre of the scene.

The imagery, shot by renowned fashion photographer Craig McDean, still maintained an airiness similar to that of its film counterpart; yet took on a somewhat moodier palette. According the Ferragamo’s website, the images look to capture and portray “the spirit of today’s cultivated global traveller, in his or her own leisurely quest for pleasure and contentment”.

Disposed in the various arrays of waiting, and looking utterly perfect on all fronts, each shot does seem to impart the impression of being on the way to something, subtly speaking to the quiet appreciation of refined luxuries in all moments.

If nothing else, the Salvatore Ferragamo fall/winter 2016 campaign is a delight to watch; but on upon closer inspection has served to develop the enduring ethos of timeless style that lies at the heart of the Florence based luxury brand. With a certain encapsulating the combination of experience and innovation that powers Ferragamo’s success and permeates its design process, the campaign truly captures the essence of the brand.

You can already shop Ferragamo’s newest collection pieces at Moda Operandi,Farfetch, Saks Fifth Avenue and other major department stores.

Summer 2016 With Elsa Hosk & Free People In the City

Fashion

Whether it is going to be the city you currently live in or another one, exploring cities will be a surprisingly good way to spend your summer holidays, especially ifFree People’s summer 2016 ensembles are there to polish your boho-chic style. Showcased by Free People’s habitué Elsa Hosk, the American retailer’s ‘Summer in the City’ lookbook (already available online) is filled with captivating proposals and intriguing combinations of clothes that are meant to suit any taste, from the more casual to the romantic boho-chic ones.

Free People ‘Summer in the City’ 2016 Lookbook

Selected by stylist Amanda Greyson, all of the looks exude freshness and coziness, which is exactly what one needs while exploring any city in the summer heat. The Free People summer 2016 lookbook does not give up on style either, but rather embraces all that’s fashionable and all the rage right now.

The line-up particularly varies in patterns, treating us not only to botanical designs and retro prints, but also to patchwork and geometrics motifs. Although the vibes are overall retro inspired, the staples capture an undeniable sense of modernity, which is also the key to success for the retailer in general.

Youthful and modern, the pieces also feminize men’s classics, such as biker jackets, loafers and ‘cowboy’ hats with gentler tailoring lines, making everything absolutely cute and highly covetable.

As for the collection’s key pieces, we have super-skinny high-waist jeans and pants, Seventies wrap mini dresses and miniskirts, not to mention the incredible amount of statement accessories that perfectly balance the ensembles with their delicate embellishments and vibrant colors. An array of high-waist pants is what stands out the most, as their form-fitting silhouettes, tactical details and cropped hems elongate the figures, making it possible for us to easily choose either a more pin-up, Fifties-inspired look, or a grunge, Nineties-inspired one.

As for the wrapped dresses, although the line-up is strong on the maxi designs too, not opting for a fresh, ethnic embroidered wrap-dress will be almost impossible this summer, since their lightweight material and refined embellishments are nothing but a pure pleasure to watch.

Wrapped, curve-hugging and short are most of the skirts too, which got decorated either with ultra-colorful patchwork motifs or buckle details, and are also meant to be paired with basically anything from airy shirts to slip tops.

For those who feel cold or are just planning to head to a Northern European city, investing in a cozy mannish jacket to complete the looks could be indispensable. Besides, it’ll give the wearer the pleasure of creating contrasting outfits that make anyone stand out of the crowd, for sure.

Erdem Resort 2017 Collection Is All About Romanticism

Fashion

Born and raised between Canada and England, half-Turkish, half-British Erdem Moralioglu is used to living amid different cultures and heritages, and often uses such eclecticism and receptive attitude to adorn his collections with dichotomous styles and geographically contrasting patterns. For his Erdem resort 2017 collection, he specifically drew inspiration from completely different cultures, relentlessly travelling in both space and time.

Erdem Resort 2017 Collection

Those, who like following Erdem Moralioglu’s efforts, will surely recognize his unique careless signature style, which always takes the designer into a world wherein trends are less important than making a woman feel beautiful. Although his latest resort line-up features some of next year’s main trends too, such as cut-outs and off-the-shoulder necklines, Moralioglu almost architecturally focused on the proportions and figures, thinking of the ultimate results of his creations rather than of their overall attitude towards the upcoming fashion trends.

Intertwining modern details with pompous figures, for his resort 2017 collection Erdem got infatuated with Japan’s early Thirties “modern girls” fashion and the ethnic kind of fashion typical of the Far West, completing the looks with a few Versailles-inspired structured cuts that layer the figures and make them look thicker and even more intricate. Such layers mimic the ocean’s waves too, and could be credited to the journeys the talented designer himself took back in December 2015, and which inspired him to design this collection.

“I spent the Christmas holidays there and traveled around to Kyoto and Naoshima,” he declared, “which made me think again about the to-and-fro between Japanese culture and the West.”

Erdem Resort 2017 Collection

The Versailles-inspired motifs have also been expressed in the butterfly sleeves and jabot collars the sheer white shirts are embellished with, and which consequently highlight the collection’s contrasting variety of Nehru collars and Japanese-inspired kimono jackets and prints. Moralioglu anthropologically explored the whole ‘Japanese girls in the Thirties’ pattern in two distinctive, highly representative ways. While on the one hand he chose to accentuate Japan’s more traditional heritage through colorful botanical prints, on the other he focused on what young adults loved to wear during that decade, namely Western ensembles.

In doing so, he couldn’t refrain from almost academically focusing on Japan’s different takes on the Western culture, namely the one that is more linked to France, and the one that loves to mimic America’s cowgirl/boy and surfer culture. Whilst the whole California motif was left apart (we have to wait for the last decade of the XX century for a ‘California girl’ sort of revival, in Japan), the Wild Wild West theme got greatly represented through suede jackets, oversized ponchos and what looks like haute couture versions of the ‘prairie dresses’.

To better chronically synchronize with the Thirties, Erdem also opted for peplum cuts, dropped waists and mannish proposals, adding a few androgynous pinstripe jackets and trousers that look as lavish as cozy. No doubt, he is a fashion astronaut!

Fashion

With its one-pieces and stand-out bikinis, the newestAgent Provocateur 2016 swimwear line will blow your mind, since all its swimsuits could be fairly regarded as the hottest designs of summer 2016. Although being a monochrome swimwear line, each of the creations is consistently different from one another, and could basically meet anyone’s fashion expectations. These are some kind of high-end swimsuit designs that you can shop from Agent Provocateur’s website to stand out from the crowd on the beach.

Agent Provocateur Swimsuits for Summer 2016

The entire collection could be divided into two different subcategories, one featuring an array of cozy, sporty-chic proposals, and the other one bringing in a number of sultry, risqué curve-hugging creations that are not for the faint-hearted, for sure. French Fanny François is the model flawlessly sporting all the designs for the campaign, and can be seen completing the looks with high stiletto heels and leather accessories. The brand’s signature silhouettes, such as the Marlene, Hatty and Zoey bikinis make their appearance too, and will definitely many of you speechless with their new revitalized designs.

Done up in shades of black and white, which also contribute to enhancing the cuts and lines utilized, the swimsuits feature tactic details that underline the body curves, such as zips, mesh appliqués on the fronts, geometric cut-outs that help balance the silhouettes, and of course crystal embellishments and string adornments.

Although the overall Agent Provocateur 2016 swimsuit collection lacks colors and is definitely all about sensuality at its purest, the brand chose to feature some more glamorous proposals too, such as the Lyssandra crystal embellished swimsuit with golden Swaroski crystal starbursts and a plunging Seventies-inspired cut that will make you want to spend all of your summer night parties at the poolside wearing it.

The most sensual proposals, on the other hand, include the Marlene swimsuits in black, the high-neck top and high-leg bottom of which will leave anyone breathless, and the Anja swimsuit in black with a cross-over neckline and cutaway panels that will just blissfully accentuate your figure.

The collection also comprises some sporty-chic creations, including the stringed Lexxi swimsuit and bikini with asymmetrical cuts dynamically wrapping the body, the Zoey swimsuit in black and white with zip-lines geometrically highlighting the body, and, of course, the Lilah bikini, which combines a comfortable silhouette with quirky strings.

There’s even a piece that is neither too sexy, nor overly sporty, and that is the Hatty swimsuit in black, which combines mesh fishnet detailing with a high-leg, high-neck cut, just in the perfect Nineties-inspired style.
